Eric Early kicked off his first radio show and podcast, “The Early Edition”, on AM 870 on April 19, 2020. Also joining Eric Early was Scott Gizer from Early Sullivan Wright Gizer & McRae LLP. He began by describing what an honor it is to be in the same seat as Larry Elders, amongst others. Early explained that the purpose of the show is to give advice and opinions from a legal and a business legal perspective.
Early talked about the effect of COVID-19 on businesses on Los Angeles. He discussed how businesses need to get going again and people working again. He also touched on the CARES Act and the PPP (Paycheck Protection Program). Early emphasized that the PPP was created to incentivize businesses to keep workers on their payroll and is a potential lifesaver, especially since the SBA will forgive loans, as long as no rules are broken. Both Early and Scott encouraged people to apply, even if they were not able to get the SBA number in the outset.
Additionally, Early takes calls from listeners and answers questions on the rules and guidelines with the PPP program.
