Eric Early for Attorney General Endorsed by Assistant Assembly Republican Leader Phillip Chen
LOS ANGELES, CA – Assistant Assembly Republican Leader Phillip Chen has endorsed Eric Early for Attorney General, the Early campaign announced today.
“Public safety is priority one for Assemblyman Chen, who served for seven years as a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy,” said Early. “Leaders like Phillip represent the future of the Republican Party in California – young and forward-thinking activists who can grow the party. I’m proud to count on his support for my campaign,” said Early.
“When I am Attorney General, we’ll go after criminals instead of threatening law-abiding business owners,” said Early, referring to appointed incumbent AG Becerra’s threats to prosecute employers who cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
Assemblyman Chen was elected to represent the 55th Assembly District in 2016. The district encompasses parts of Orange, Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties and includes the cities of Brea, Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, La Habra, Industry, Placentia, Rowland Heights, Walnut, West Covina and Yorba Linda.
Prior to his election to the state Assembly, Chen served on the Walnut Valley Unified School District Board of Education and was a public policy advisor to Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich.
Assemblyman Chen joins a growing roster of elected leaders throwing their support to Eric Early for Attorney General. Most recently, Senate Republican Leader Pat Bates, Senator Joel Anderson, Senator Scott Wilk and Senator Jeff Stone have endorsed Early.
