Attorney General Candidate Eric Early Calls On Steven Bailey To Drop Out In Wake of State Judicial Misconduct Investigation

LOS ANGELES, CA – In response to the state Judicial Performance Commission’s announcement it is investigating Steven Bailey for multiple counts of judicial misconduct while he was a judge, Republican Attorney General candidate Eric Early released this statement:

“The judicial misconduct charges made against Steven Bailey are numerous, disturbing and appear to be well-documented,” said Early, an attorney, businessman and Managing Partner of his law firm. “Mr. Bailey is entitled to his day in court, but Republicans cannot afford a candidate with Mr. Bailey’s baggage. The special interests supporting Democratic candidates Becerra and Jones will have a field day with these charges.”

“After sober reflection, I think it is in the best interests of the Republican Party and the people of California for Steven Bailey to withdraw from the race,” said Early. “We must be laser focused on making sure Becerra and Jones, who by their actions show they are intent on turning California into an overtaxed criminals’ paradise, are defeated.”
